Rivers APC Has Gone Extinct – Ex-Rep
Former member of the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Lasbery Amadi, has expressed regret that the All Progressives Congress, APC, has gone extinct in Rivers State.
Hon Amadi, who stated this last Sunday at a stakeholders meeting in Port Harcourt noted that if something urgent was not done, the party may not be on the ballot in 2023.
He explained that the party lost the election in 2015 because of the attitude of both leaders and members, warning that it was high time the party started repositioning itself ahead of 2023 election.
According to him, we should not deceive ourselves, our party, APC, is currently not existing in Rivers State.
“ APC may go extinct in Rivers State if urgent steps are not taken to revive the party. We should be thinking of peace rather than fighting ourselves”, he noted.
He urged members to seek solutions on how to bring back peace to the party and forge a new course for the party.
Meanwhile, former member of House of Representatives, Hon Chidi Wehioka, has said the party is currently with out a leader.
Wehioka ,who represented Ikwerre/ Emohua in the lower chamber of the National Assembly between 2011 and 2015, said APC has no leader.
According to him, if Rt.Hon Chibuike Amaechi claims to be a leader of APC in Rivers State, he should contest for it.
