NPFL: Rivers United, Lobi Battle For Supremacy, Today

Rivers United Football  Club of Port Harcourt will today host  Lobi Stars FC of Madugri in the match day 15 of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, in  Port Harcourt.
The pride of the State has vowed  to return to winning ways after losing to Dakkada FC, 2-1 in Uyo, last Sunday.
Rivers United FC and Lobi Stars have both won four matches of their last five games in the NPFL.
Reports from the camp of Lobi Stars have it that they are coming to Port Harcourt to snatch the three points at stake.
Both teams  have  comprehensively met 18 times and Lobi Stars has won  ten, while United won five and drew three.
Speaking with the former Sharks FC player, Donimion Egwuruegwu, in a telephone interview expressed optimism that United will carry the day following its present impressive performance.
According to him, the technical manager of the club, Stanley Eguma has transformed the club this season.
“With the quality of players recruited by the management of the club I believe they have what it takes to win the League” he said.
He noted out that the team is quite impressive than the previous season.
