Lagos Pipeline Explosion: PDP Commiserates With Victims
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed sadness over the pipeline explosion in Abule-Egba, Lagos state which claimed lives of some citizens.
The Party in a press statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbodion , lamented that such avoidable disaster again cut short lives of innocent Nigerians and destroyed valuables, plunging various families into anguish and hardship.
The PDP called on Nigerians to keep faith in God and seek divine intervention in their hope for better Nigeria, even as the party called for a comprehensive investigation into the immediate and remote causes of the incident with a view to tracking down those responsible for the explosion.
The statement read in parts:
” PDP commiserates with the families of the deceased as well as other victims of the explosion and urges relevant agencies, groups and public-spirited individuals to reach out and assist them in finding succor at this time of grief.
“The PDP also urged Nigerians to continue to pray for divine intervention in the face of prevalent disasters, violence, bloodletting and economic hardship ravaging our nation at this time.”
The Party also called on the relevant agencies to develop proactive measures to forestall future occurrence.
