Issues In Rivers APC, Self-Inflicted – Ex-Rep
A former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Emma Deeyah has said that the issues bedevilling Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are self-inflicted.
Deeyah stated this in Port Harcourt, during a peace meeting he convened to seek the way forward for the party, even as both factions loyal to the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi and Senator Magnus Abe, attended the parley.
Speaking to newsmen, Deeyah said the meeting would be continuous and that the stakeholders’ would meet the principal actors of the two factions with a view to finding ways to reconcile them.
“We often times sit in our houses, in the confines of our rooms and whatever runs through our minds, we begin to air them without thinking through.
“The issues in APC are self-inflicted. We do not need somebody from outside to tell us to do what is right. It is not time now for me to take you back in time as to the stories and where we are today.
“The problem in our party can be solved by us and when we cannot solve it, let us not be pressed, who should I be afraid of? Do I need money to state my position?, he queried.
