Elu Peace Cup: Chairman Applauds Teams On Performance
The chairman of the first edition of the just concluded Elu Peace Cup held in lkwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, Christopher C Ezeorgwu has applauded the teams over their performance during the competition.
Ezeorgwu made the commendation at the weekend, shortly after the final match of the competition held at the State school field of Omerelu community of lkwerre LGA.
He urged the various teams to aim high in their future endeavours as to grow to the professional level in the sport and as well bring honour to their fatherland when the opportunity come calling.
“Sports is one major source of livelihood, if you are committed to which ever sport you chose you will surely make a living out of it,” Christopher C Ezeorgwu said.
Earlier Kelechi Onunwor has also advised the Omike team to also consider other sports outside football to make ends meet since there is a lot of competition in the sport of football.
Meanwhile, Omike team lift Elu Peace cup with Five goals in a penalty shot out, after equally an early goal by Omugweree team at the 80th minute of the game.
However, Omugweree team who was leading with an early goal at the 30th minute of play eventually clinched second position after losing to opponent Omike during the penalty shot which ended in 5-4.
