Rivers Monarch Tasks Subjects On Peace
The Leslie Eke has called for total peace in the kingdom and beyond in consonance with Governor Nyesom Wike’s insistence that Rivers State is a Christian State.
The Eze Gbakagbaka, made the call when he played host to the representatives of American Caribbean International University, Florida United States of America led by Dr Daniel Morisma and Dr William Sheehan at the weekend in Woji Community.
Eze Eke who also is the General Secretary, Association of Niger Delta Monarchs of Nigeria (ANDMON), said that without peace, no people or government could attain the required heights.
He said that people must learn how to adopt non-violence approach to issues, no matter how hurt they were in order not to work against the provision of the law.
The Eze Oha Evo III, and Eze Woji XII, pointed out that, violent people do not mean well for any society, thus the need to do without violence.
According to him, peaceful environment could attract investors to the community and the entire state, if Rivers people could maintain the Governor’s call for peace.
The monarch who directed his points to his foreign guest charged them to make bold steps and invest in the state.
He argued that the state was peaceful and could now host any kind of transaction, and added that the Governor had done excellently in the area of security.
As crowned Woji chiefs, you are free to come here and invest both in land and other businesses, your investment would be secured, because governor Nyesom Wike had performed brilliantly in the aspect of security and others”, he said.
As a defender of the Christian Faith, he noted that he would continue to back the state Governor on his regular argument that Rivers State is a Christian state.
He was of the view that the Governor’s point was filled with enough venoms that could put haters of the state at bay, thus the reason for uproar, each time the statement was made.
Meanwhile, he has called for total peace in Evo kingdom and beyond, before, during and after the 2019 Yule Tide celebration, as he hinted that the season called for sober reflection and not for crime or violence.
