The technical manager of Rivers United Football club of Port Harcourt, Stanley Eguma has expressed happiness over scoring two goals against Katsina United in the match day 8 of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) in Port Harcourt.
He explained that they planned to win and they got it saying that was a good result for the team.
Eguma made the assertion last Sunday when brefing sports journalists after beating Katsina United 2-0 in the match day eight of the NPFL at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium.
“ We are still working hard for the progress of the team.
We know our problem, our problem is to put the ball in the net. When it comes to playing we can play well but to convert scoring chances is our problem,” Eguma narrated.
The number one coach of the state further explained that the inability of the team in the past to score only one goal is now a thing of the past, noting that scoring two goals against Rangers International FC and Katsina United is a welcome development.
“ There is room for improvement. We are taking it from there to score more goals. We need goals,” he explained.
