Councillor Promises To Pursue Peace, Security
The councillor representing Elele Alimini Ward 9 in Emohua Legislative Assembly, Hon Johnson Enyidah, say he would continue to make security of lives and propriety of the people top in his agenda.
Enyidah gave the assurance when he received the award of the Outstanding Councillor of the Year, 2019 by the Crime / Assembly Press Corps at the Council Headquarters recently.
He said he would continue to improve on security of his people to usher in development.
The law maker pointed out that he was instrumental to the bush clearing of Elele Alimini Community Secondary School which was over grown with weeds to chase criminal elements out of the area.
According to him, the bushy environment encouraged high level of criminal activities, which he said was a save heaven for criminals.
The councilor, was of the view that without peace no meaningful development could be seen in any community.
He expressed regrets that some people could still think violence despite Governors Nyesom Wike’s sermon against crime.
“People should follow peace, the state Governor had laid the path, every one should key in and shun crime”, he said.
In his response, the Leader of the Emohua Legislative Assembly, Hon. John Lucky, charged the group on the need to carry out their duties as newsmen without bias.
Lucky, reasoned that such would aid them to arrive at a balanced conclusion before nominating anyone for an award.
