Nigerian Coaches Don’t Sign Contract Agreements – Chairman
The Chairman of Delta State Football Coaches Association (DSFCA), Edema Fuludu, has said that Nigeria is the only country where coaches don’t sign contract agreement, before taking up coaching job.
He stated that win at all costs syndrome puts most Nigerian coaches under pressure.
Fuludu made the assertion on Tuesday, at the Rivers State Football Coaches Association (RSFCA) end of year celebration, at Yakubu Gown Stadium, in Port Harcourt.
“ This is the only country where Coaches appointment are not valid. That is why they can also be sacked indiscriminately,” Fuludu said.
The former international, explained that Nigeria football coaches have failed on their duties, in terms of developing the game from grassroots.
“As coaches we have a big role to play in the development of Nigeria football, we should start to think how to do the right thing by signing contact with our employers,” he said.
He urged all coaches to do their primary assignment effectively by discovering young talents.
