Monarch Alleges Plot To Kill Him

The Paramount ruler of Obagi town in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State, Eze Benson Abella , the Ochi Oha I of Obagi, has raised alarm over alleged plot to eliminate him.
He disclosed that the plot took place in the night at his palace but he was lucky to escape alive.
A petition written to the Divisional Police Officer, Egi Divisional Headquarters , by the lawyer to the traditional ruler alleged that one Ndudi Ikiri Peter also of Obagi community was behind the plot.
The petition dated 24th October, 2019 with the reference MMC/MBC/MISC.191/2019 and signed by Chief M.P.S. Ngini of Mkpuorah, Mkpuora & Co. Mbelede Chambers, Port Harcourt was also copied Commissioner of Police, Rivers State Police Command, and the Area Commander , Nigeria Police area Command, Omoku.
It said, “ on Tuesday, the 22nd day of October, 2019, Ndudi Ikiri Peter also of Obagi community broke into our friend’s premises by 9:20 pm in the community and maliciously damaged our client’s gate and forced himself into said premises with dangerous weapons with a view to murdering our client”.
According to the letter, the Royal father narrowly escaped and ran to Obite police station same night where he reported the incident.
It also stated that due to the damage done to the gate of the palace by the said Ndudi and his cohorts the gate remained open, building materials in the premises worth millions of Naira were stolen.
The letter further alleged that while investigation into the matter had commenced, the suspect grossly refused to report himself to the police by dishonouring police invitation.
It called on the police high command to effect arrest and prosecution of the said Ndudi Ikiri Peter and others involved in the plot to murder the Royal father to serve as deterrent to other mischief makers in the community.
When contacted on Wednesday, the Police Public Relations Officer, Rivers State Command, DSP Nnamdi Omoni, said he was not yet aware of the incident.
