Accord Party governorship candidate in Bayelsa State, Mr Diriyai Ebizimor has expressed confidence that  the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will be neutral in conducting the November 16 election in the state.
Ebizimor, while speaking to newsmen in Owerri last Monday, said that there were strong indications that INEC had prepared for a credible, fair and peaceful election.
“I have no doubt in the ability of INEC to conduct a peaceful and credible election in Bayelsa State.
“I am calling on Bayelsa people to collect their voter cards and rise up to exercise their franchise,” he said.
Ebizimor commended the security agencies for their proactive roles in enthroning a peaceful atmosphere in the state ahead of the election.
“I am confident that they will have less work to do during the election because of the level of peace already being enjoyed in the state,” he said.
He urged party faithful to remain committed towards building a strong party in the state.
Ebizimor further said that he had no intention to leave the party, saying that his intention was to solidify Accord Party’s presence in the state.
He said that his party had programmes capable of turning the fortune of the state around if elected.
“If elected governor, I shall work to make the state the glory of all lands by implementing people-oriented programmes,” he said.
