In its avowed determination to preach peace in the South-South region of the country, the newly appointed Director, Programmes, Information and Communications, Mr Bright Ebere, says he would use his new office to stamp out violence and peace.
Ebere stated this in Port Harcourt, while speaking with newsmen last Monday.
He said part of the task was to use the pen profession to ensure that the youth in the South South region had a different mindset in the area of violence and crime.
Ebere, who is a journalist and doubles as the Chief Executive Officer of Street Media, pointed out that his appointment was due to his commitment, creativity, innovation and good ideas.
According to him, programmes like research work and others would be carried out by his office to ensure that youth in the region had perpetual hatred for crime and other forms of violence.
He was of the view that the experience he acquired as a media consultant in the oil and gas sector, would be an added advantage to actualize his goal in his new office.
He further explained that the best way to have a firm grip of the youth, was to ensure that they were positively engaged with brain tasking task that will pre-occupy their mind for a reasonable length of time.
“This  platform is for collaboration, partnership, education, enlightenment creativity, hope and a voice for the youths,  to always keep them busy”, he said.
He was of the view that, I every stakeholder would work in synegy to end era of idleness and violence would be over in the region.
