Work Of God, Paramount In Our Agenda, Banigo Affirms
The Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Dr. Ipalibo Harry Banigo says the work of God is paramount in the agenda of the Governor Nyesom Wike-led led administration.
Banigo stated this during a courtesy visit by the Mothers Union and Women’s Guild, Diocese of the Niger Delta, Anglican Communion at the Government House, Port Harcourt, last Friday.
The deputy governor, who expressed gratitude to the Almighty God for making Wike’s second tenure a reality, disclosed that the only reason God brought them into office was to do God’s will.
“It is important for us in any way possible to fulfil the divine mandate God has given to us. That is why Governor Wike has always partnered very closely with the church and whatever the body of Christ is doing”.
The deputy governor, who said whenever women of God come together and ask God for something, no mountain can stand against it, noted that it was important for the body of Christ to remain united.
According to Banigo, her office would continue to initiate programmes that would impact positively on the society, especially the girl child, and urged the women to continue to pray for the success of the Governor Nyesom Wike-led government.
In her remarks, the Diocesan President, Mothers’ Union, Mrs. Victoria Ebirien, said they were at the Government House to felicitate with her and the Number One Citizen of the state on their re-election into office against all odds, noting that God has been very faithful.
Ebirien, who also used the occasion to intimate Banigo on the upcoming events of the Women’s Ministry, said they have watched the deputy governor’s humane disposition to the things of God and her sincere love for the Niger Delta Diocese with keen interest.
