Tribunal Ruling: LG Boss Praises Decision

The Executive Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State, Chief Tom Aliezi, has praised the decision of the Rivers State Governorship Elections Tribunal for dismissing the petition of the Action Democratic Party(ADP) Governorship Candidate, Mr Victor Fingesi in the March 9 governorship  election in the state.
The council chairman, who spoke with The Tide recently in Port Harcourt, described the judgement as victory for democracy in Nigeria and Rivers State in particular.
Aliezi, also commended the tribunal and its chairman, Justice Orjiakor for the ruling, and added that, no one man can change the decision of God.
He was emphatic, that it would be particularly possible when the people had spoken with one voice touching a single matter.
“Anyone who decides to fight who God has ordained, will continue to lose”, he added.
The council boss also  called on the people of the state, to join hands with the Governor Nyesom  Wike-led government to bring development to the doorsteps of the rural dwellers.
“ I urge you all to support the present administration led by Chief Nyesom Wike for the effective delivery of the dividends of democracy to all”, he said.
The council boss, further commended the people of the local government area, for their support to the administration of Governor Wike.
