Students Laud Academy Over E-Learning
Students of Glisten International Academy, Jahi, Abuja have expressed satisfaction over the distribution of 800 phones to enhance e-leaning in the school.
Some of them, who spoke with newsmen, described the distribution of the tablets as a positive development that would have “massive impact” on e-learning.
One of them, Umar Abubakar, said that he never expected it.
“I did not expect this to happen, but now that it has happened, I want to thank the school and the management for giving us these Tecno phone tablets because it will stimulate us to learn.
“When you keep writing on notebooks, sometimes they gets lost and most time one is tired of copying notes from the chalk board because it is stressful.
“As we are advancing as a country and as a school, we will use these tablets to continue to improve in learning.
“However, the only challenge we may have is the access to the internet, but I believe it is something that the school can fix,’’ Abubakar said.
Another student, Abubakar Atiku, said that with the introduction of the tablets, he was feeling more relaxed to learn.
“Learning is now made easy. Before now, I barely could lift up my pen to write; I had to listen carefully to the teacher, but with the tablet, learning is easy and less stressful’’.
Aisha Mairami, another student, said that the tablet would make them learn faster.
“Using modern devices and technology to learn in this millennium is the best way to go. I appreciate Glisten International Academy,” she said.
Meanwhile, a teacher in the school, Mr James Asuacang, has said that the provision of the tablets would make teachers work easier and the students would also enjoy learning.
