NSF: Team Rivers Special Sports Association Begins Preparation

Team Rivers Special Sports Association has commenced preparation for the forthcoming National Sports Festival (NSF) tagged, “EDO 2020,” scheduled to hold next year, in Edo State.
This was disclosed by secretary of the Rivers State Special Sports association, Tekena Lulu-Poku in an interview with Tidesports in Port Harcourt.
According to him, preparations are in progress for the forthcoming NSF competition which is expected to hold March next year.
He explained that the team had began to summit names of athletes selected for the fiesta to make the list of those who are to participate in the competition come next year.
‘We have been training  for the NSF and l can say we have made a good progress. We need to do our level best to ensure that we win medals at the competition, come next year,” Tekena Lulu- Poku said.
However, he urged the athletes to remain calm and focused on their preparation for the task ahead in order to compete honourably at the fiesta.
He explained that timely preparation was the bed rock of success, saying that with the level of preparation made so far there’s no way the team would not have a better outing at the festival.
“ l understand that we might have  loopholes, but that’s not much of a problem, in as much as we identify them, we can work on them and overcome to achieve the desired result. That is the essence of early preparation” Lulu-Poku added.
