NFF, LMC Owing Kano Pillars Prize Monies
Two hundred and nineteen Aiteo Cup winner and NPFL runner up, Kano Pillars are set on a collision course with the NFF and LMC, after an article on the club’s official website dragged the football bodies over unpaid prize monies from last season.
Pillars finished second in last season’s NPFL abridged format and went on to win their first ever Cup crown.
The article which quoted Club Spokesman, Rilwanu Idris Malikawa, suggested the NFF was two months late on its disbursement of the £25 million prize money for winning the Cup.
“A lot of people are putting too much pressure on us by asking how much the club received from the Federation and the League Management Company for emerging as the 2019 Aiteo cup champions and runners up for the 2018/2019 league season but up to now, no kobo has entered our purse either from the NFF or LMC,” Malikawa stated.
