Avoid Inordinate Ambition, Cleric Urges Christians
The Jos Resident Pastor of Shepherd House International Assembly, Tajan Moltok, has urged Christians to shun inordinate ambition in order to avoid setbacks in life.
Moltok made the call yesterday in Jos during his sermon entitled “Dealing with Delay.”
He said that disobedience, fear and unrealistic expectations were obstructions in fulfilling an individuals’ purpose on earth.
“Disobedience to God’s instructions can cause delay in fulfilling our life purposes. It comes from the devil who hardens hearts to destroy men. We must obey God’s instructions at all times to enjoy his blessings.
“ It is also important for children to obey the instructions of their parents, no matter how much they feel they are educated.
“The blessings of parents are critical for Christians toward fulfilling our lives purposes,”he said.
The cleric said that delays in attaining our potential were caused by demonic agents, disputes within the home and fear orchestrated by the devil.
He said that such limitations by the devil and his agents prevented people from taking critical decisions and actions that would fast track their fruitfulness.
He further explained that unrealistic expectations by individuals also contributed to delay in fulfillment of purpose while noting that every dream required actions to achieve it.
