#OurStateOurResponsibility: Nsirim Tasks NGOs On Rebranding Campaign
The Permanent Secretary of the Rivers State Ministry of Information and Communications, Pastor Paulinus Nsirim, has called on non-governmental organisations to join the Ministry in the current campaign to rebrand the state.
Nsirim, who said this during a courtesy call in his office by Mother of Good Counsel Initiative, a nongovernmental organisation said the task of rebranding the state must be seen as a collective one.
The Permanent Secretary said that inspite of the huge achievements, of Governor Nyesom Wike in infrastructural development and security, some people are going about painting the state black.
He said the #OurStateOur Responsibility campaign was designed to let every one living and doing business in the state to understand that Rivers State belongs to them.
Nsirim said the campaign was in line with the activities of the organisation which is moral rejuvenation.
He lauded the visioner, Lady Doris Onyenere for attracting global attention to her activities, while in Rivers State, adding that the situation was a testimony of the peaceful and friendly environment in the State.
Nsirim also called on all to support the current effort by the administration to return Port Harcourt to its Garden City status.
Earlier, the visioner, Mother of Good Counsel Initiative, Dr (Lady) Doris Onyenere, said that #Our StateOurResponsibility advocacy campaign initiative by the ministry is in line with the activities of Mother of Good Counsel Initiative.
She said the group is into the campaign against teenage pregnancy to encourage children to go to school as well as help in the promotion of skills acquisition in the society.
