Monarch Lauds RSG, Others On SEEFOR Projects

The Chairman of Oyigbo Council of Traditional Rulers, Eze S.N Nwaeke has lauded the Rivers State Government, the World Bank and European Union (EU) for the on-going execution of some micro projects in the area.
Eze Nwaeke said this during projects inspection by officials of the State Employment and Expenditure for Result (SEEFOR) project led by the Director, Community Driven Development social-Project Implementation Unit (CDDs-PIU) of the Ministry of Chieftaincy/Community Affairs, Sir ThankGod Amaewhule.
SEEFOR is currently executing electricity project and an Information communication Technology (ITC) Centre at Obeakpu Community Oyigbo Local Government Area (LGA).
The monarch, who spoke during a courtesy call in his palace at Obeakpu, Ndoki by the SEEFOR team said that the ICT centre and the electrification project will generate more employment opportunities for the teeming unemployed youths of the area.
Meanwhile, the Director CDDs-PIU of the Ministry of Chieftaincy/Community Affairs, Sir Amaewhule has rated the execution of SEEFOR projects high in Obeakpu, Ndoki in Oyigbo.
Amaewhule said during an inspection of ICT centre and electrification projects in the community that the team is satisfied with the level of execution of the projects.
The Director however, urged the community to see the project as their own by protecting it against theft and vandalisation.
He also decried the poor quality of jobs at the corpers’ quarters at Bolo in the Ogu/Bolo LGA.
Amaewhule, who puts the rate of execution of the corpers’ lodge at 70 percent, called on the Community Project Management Committee (CPMC) of Bolo to ensure that monies paid out in respect of the project are justified.
