Pillars Unhappy Over Slim Victory
Kano Pillars defender, Ikenna Paul has stated that his side’s 3-2 win over Ghanaian side Asante Kotoko did not go well as planned after a nervy win in the qualifying round of the CAF champions league first leg tie in Kano.
Paul, speaking in a chat with Tidesports source said the game is not yet over and that Kano Pillars are in a tight corner where they will have to go all out and take the challenge to the Ghanaian side in the second leg away from home.
He added that Pillars will not give up despite what seems to be an advantage for Asante Kotoko who scored two away goals already in the first leg.
“Well it’s not yet over because game of football you can’t predict what will happen. The first leg didn’t actually go as planned because we didn’t want to concede a goal but it came and we bounced back and we had to win. So I think the second leg we are going all out for it and until the 90th minutes and we will never give up,” he said.
