LG Boss Assures On Peace

Chairman of Oyigbo Local Government Area of Rivers State, Mr. Gerald Offorji, has said that the council will not compromise the relative peace in the area.
Offorji, who said this during the dedication of his third baby, Kimberly said that Oyigbo will continue to out-shine other local government areas on peace and security and stressed the need for the people to support the administration in the delivery of democratic dividends.
According to the chairman, the council will complement the effort of Governor Nyesom Wike in ensuring that Oyigbo gets the best in terms of amenities and human capital development.
He thanked God for the safe delivery of his wife and described the baby as a special gift from God Almighty. In his sermon, Rev Okey Dick of Foundation Faith Church, Oyigbo called on Christians to have faith in God, as it was the only way to attract God’s blessings.
The man of God also called on them to support the authorities in the bid to bring development to the area.
Also speaking, the Councillor representing Ward 9, Hon Oyegorom Chukwudi called on the people of the area to support the council chairman as his programmes are designed to bring peace and development to the area.
