Chief Of Staff, Lawmaker, Others Mourn Politician
Omudioga Community in Ward 10, Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State, witnessed upsurge of human and vehicular movements as sympathisers from far and near trooped into the community to bid farewell to Late Hon. Amos Chukwume a.k.a Earthquake.
Earthquake as he was popularly called was a true democrat, a politician that diligently served his people as councillor during the defunct Social Democratic Party (SDP) days, a man loved by many such that whichever political party he supported, freely won election in his Ward and beyond, a community builder of high repute that impacted on the lives of many while alive.
Amongst the personalities that graced the burial ceremony were the Chief of Staff, Government House, Port Harcourt, Engr Emeka Woke, Hon. Sam Ogeh, member, Rivers State House of Assembly, representing Emohua State Constituency, Hon. Arthur Uchendu, Commissioner 1, Rivers State House of Assembly Service Commission, Dr. Chidi Lloyd, an APC stalwart who also hails from Ward 10, Omudioga/Akpabu/Itu Community.
Others include Chief Tom Aliezi, Chairman, Emohua Local Government Area, his Deputy, Hon (Mrs) Ngozi Nyemunwa, Hon Emma Nyema Wonodi, leader of Ishibam Politics, Chief Ken Etekochay, Hon Allen Nma, former Council Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area and an APC stalwart, Hon Sam Agwor, former Chairman, Rivers State Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Agency, Hon. Emmanuel Owhorchukwu, Hon. John Wokoma, former CTC Chairman, Collins Amesi, Adiele Ogbor, Forum of Past and Present Councillors, Chief Humphrey Ogbuehi, Vincent Chukwu, Hon Tasie Wike and other political associates, chiefs, elders, women and youth bodies of Omudioga Consultative Forum, Barrister Chikwere Ogbugo, the chairman and members of Omudioga Community Development Community (CDC), among several others.
In spite of the apparent sadness that enveloped the community, the arrival of the PDP leaders was greeted with fanfare by the people of Omudioga Community as a demostration of their unflinching support for PDP and their love and continuous support for Governor Nyesom Wike-led government.
