The Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike has been commended for providing scholarships for indigent Rivers students studying Medicine and Surgery, and related courses in Nigerian universities in the state.
In a statement signed by Dr. Holly Deekor and Ms Mienye Banigo on behalf of concerned parents of the beneficiary students of the Rivers State scholarship scheme who are reading Medicine and Surgery in Pamo University of Medical Sciences at Iriebe, near Port Harcourt, the parents association expressed gratitude to the governor for his unwavering commitment and support towards the development of the education and health sectors in the state.
