Iron Dealers Hail Wike’s Re-Election

Members of Iron Dealers Association, Rumuekpirikom, Rivers State have described the victory of the state governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, in the just concluded gubernatorial elections in the state as a divine will of the Almighty God.
The group also averred that they were satisfied with the performances of Governor Wike’s administration, within the four years of his first tenure in office as it was filled with people-oriented projects.
The Chairman of the Association, Mr John N. Odimegwu, stated this while addressing journalists at the Union’s Office after an emergency executive meeting in Port Harcourt, yesterday.
Odimegwu said that members of the union received the news of the victory of the governor with excitement and joy after enemies of good governance had struggled to truncate the will of Rivers people who voted enmass for the state Chief executive.
He used the opportunity to express his gratitude to members of the union who came out in their numbers and indeed the people of the state to vote for governor Wike during the just concluded election in the state.
According to him, the second tenure would give the governor the opportunity to consolidate on the various achievements his administration recorded during the first four years in office.
“We are here today to thank the almighty God for the victory of our performing governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, in the last elections. For the first four years, his administration was full of activities”, he added.
The chairman urged the state Chief executive to ensure the completion of the Kala Road and the total rehabilitation of Ikwerre road drainage system within the second term in office, even as he called on the opposition parties to close ranks with the governor to advance development of the state.
Also speaking, the Public Relations Officer (PRO), Mr Augustine Egbom, while congratulating governor Wike on his recent victory, urged him to assist the union to get a permanent site to enable them contribute their quota to the development of the state.
