Group Urges Support For Ihedioha

The Committee for Volunteer/Support Group (CVSG), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Campaign Committee, yesterday called on  Imo citizens to support Emeka Ihedioha, the Governor-elect for Imo State, as it  was imperative for a greater and prosperous state.
The Secretary of the committee, Mr Kingsley Onwubiko, told newsmen that it was time to rebuild Imo State and rescue it from economic breakdown.
Onwubiko is also a member of the Works Sub-Committee of the Imo governorship inauguration committee which would be inaugurated yesterday.
He urged Imo people to collectively rally round Ihedioha in order to reposition the state on the path of greatness.
“We therefore, call on all Imolites who mean well for the state to continue to support Ihedioha and his team for meaningful developments in our state.
“We are the state’s solidarity irrespective of party affiliation for Ihedioha in his quest to take our state to the next level,” Onwubiko said.
According to him, party affiliation and other primordial considerations must be discarded for a prosperous Imo State.
The engineer turned politician said that only massive support for Ihedioha would restore the glory of the state.
Onwubiko, who congratulated members of the governorship inauguration committee, called on them to be selfless.
He appealed for patriotism and dedication to the service of the state, saying that it was key to greatness.
The PDP chieftain described the governor-elect as a man with proven integrity, adding that it was the duty of the inauguration committee to complement his leadership ingenuity in moving Imo State forward.
