Ex-Commandant Wants Digitalised Security Industry

A new security outfit, BGAM Security Company Limited, has been opened in Port Harcourt with a call for the digitalisation of the security industry to reduce the challenges faced by guards.
Speaking at the opening of the company situated at Forces Avenue, Old GRA, former Commandant, Nigeria Armed Forces Staff College, Jaji, Air Vice Marshal, E.E. Osin (rtd) said that considering the fact that the world had gone digital, it has become pertinent for security outfits and agencies to install and use
gadgets that would aid in monitoring all kinds of criminal activities.
“Nigeria needs digital gadgets as security guards alone cannot handle the day-to-day challenges in the society. With the installation of the necessary security gadgets, individuals will have less problem.
Security is life”, he stressed and commended management of the firm for putting in place sophisticated equipment.
In his welcome address, the Managing Director and Chief executive of the company, Mr. Lucky Brown explained that the objective was to give a high quality security and customer service with main focus on innovative and cost-effective security services.
According to him, “our idea is to give core values to quality partnership, integrity, and exceptional customer service, personal growth and promote community peace and security as well as give professional advice to corporate and government clients while providing customised security solutions.
Brown added that the outfit would give maximum support tothe Police, the Nigerian Navy and other security agencies to ensure a peaceful and secure society, Rivers State and the South-South region, pointing out that the firm had introduced a new dimension in the fight against crime.
Also speaking the Manager, Mr. Michael Dikio noted that the company has sophisticated and innovative CCTV cameras in Port Harcourt for its operations, including speed limiters and communication devices to support the National Road Safety Corps in crime detection. \
