Secondus, Monarch, Others Knock INEC

National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus, and Amanyanabo of Opobo, King Dandeson Jaja including other chieftains of the party have condemned the conduct of last Saturday’s guber and House of Assembly elections.
Secondus shortly after casting his vote in Ikuru Town in Andoni Local Government Area last Saturday blamed the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) for the poor performance of the card reader and militarisation of the elections.
The PDP national chairman observed that what was playing out was deliberate as the elections was delayed in the riverine communities.
Secondus wondered why oil bearing communities should suffer when they produce what feeds the nation.
He carpeted President Buhari for not assenting to the card reader bill thus creating room for electoral manipulation by the opposition.
King Jaja on his part decried the various reports of electoral material snatching in the area and called on INEC to replace or conduct fresh elections in affected areas.
On his part, former Caretaker Chairman, Dr Isaac Mietamuno Jaja said though the elections was peaceful, there were logistics and card reader malfunctioning in most part of the area.
Jaja observed that INEC need to upgrade its system, as he predicted victory for the PDP.
Meanwhile,House of Assembly candidate for the PDP, Hon. Adonye Diri has faulted the poor conduct of last weekend elections.
He accused military personnel for supporting and aiding the opposition in carting away voting materials and disrupting the elections.
