‘RSU’ll Support Programmes That Impact On Students’

The Vice Chancellor of Rivers State University,  Prof Blessing Didia says the university will  support  any academic programme that has direct impact on students and promote  the development of the  university for betterment of all
  Didia stated this  while addressing members of Rivers State ‘Students Submit ‘ who paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Port Harcourt over the weekend. 
The Vice Chancellor who went down the memory lane to explain to the students on the various achievements recorded by the present management of the institution , said the fact finding committee set up by his administration  in all the faculties in the University was responsible for the construction of a new Faculty of Education building which according to him,was in a deplorable state of condition before he assumed office as vice chancellor in the institution.
He commended the students for coming up with  programmes that would improve on the morality of students and promised to support the program for the benefit of all in the state premier university
Professor Blessing Didia who  attributed the enormous peace and tranquility as well as  success stories recorded in the University since his assumption of duties to the  divine intervention of God  and magnanimity of Governor Nyesom Wike towards the development of the University.
Earlier in his speech, the leader of the student’s group and the SUG Registrar, Comr. Ezekiel Moses commended the Vice chancellor for his administration efforts in transforming the University in recent times 
The leader of the group who is a third year  student of Education lauded the Vice chancellor for the construction of  faculty of education building which according to him, has enhance teaching and learning even as he described Prof Didia as a father and best vice chancellor  the University had ever produced.
