Rivers SWAN Holds Awards Night, March 29

Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Rivers State chapter says arrangements have been concluded to hold its awards ceremony next week Friday. 
This was contained in a statement signed by the secretary of the organising committee, Chukwudi Ejimofor, saying that various categories of awards will be given to well meaning individuals and corporate organisations that has contributed to the development and promotion of sports in the country. 
The statement further said that members of the association who has excelled in the sports industry in 2018 will also be honoured. 
“The awards ceremony will be under the distinguished Chairmanship of Chief Adokiye Amiesimaka(OWOLO), the Governor of  the state,  Chief Nyesom Wike will be the special guest of honour while Bro.Felix Obuah and the state Commissioner for Sports, Hon Boma Iyaye are  guests of honour” Ejimofor said.
The ceremony is slated to take place at Landmark Hotel, D/Line, Port Harcourt by 5:30pm.
