Police Comb Creeks, Bushes For Corpses Of Ex- LG Boss, Sibling

The Police in Rivers State said they are combing the creeks and bushes to recover the corpses of former Chairman of Andoni Local Government Area,Monwan Owoh Etete and his elder brother who were killed during last Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly elections in the state.
Recall that Etete, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and his elder sibling were killed by suspected political thugs who scaled their fence in Asarama, Andoni LGA and carted away their remains.
Spokesman of the Rivers State Police Command, Nnamdi Omoni who disclosed this said its operatives were still in search of the remains of the two APC chieftains, even as he said that the command is not resting on its oars.
Omoni, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) further said that the police will ensure that those behind the killings and their sponsors will be arrested and prosecuted.
“Investigation is ongoing and the command is doing everything possible and all hands are on deck to ensure that the corpses of Monwan Etete and his elder brother are recovered and the perpetrators apprehended.
“Like I said investigation is still on and at the end of it all we will know what happened and those behind the scene will be made to face justice,” the Rivers State police image maker stated.
Etete, who is a chieftain of the APC was a former aide to the Rivers State Governor Barr, Nyesom Wike on Political Matters before he joined the APC.
