PDP’s Senatorial Candidate’s Aide Shot In Imo

An aide to the Imo State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Imo west senatorial candidate Jones Onyereri, NnamdiNsorom, was attacked yesterday morning by suspected political assassins.
Our correspondent was told that Nsorom, was shot at the front of Onyereri’s house behind Concord Hotel in Owerri, Imo state.
The incident was said to have happened around 7am to 8am, where Nsorom reportedly sustained several gunshot injuries. He was said to have been taken to a hospital for treatment.
At the time of filling this report after Vanguard called the Director General, DG, to Onyereri, Ochiwar Jones, the DG who confirmed the development quickly said that he was in the hospital with the victim.
The Imo state PDP, publicity secretary, Damian Opara, confirmed that the story was true. However, efforts byour correspondent to reach the Imo state commissioner of police, DazukiGaladanchi to get his reactions failed as he was said to be in a meeting.
