Kate Henshaw Jostles For Governorship Seat In New Movie
Popular Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw on Friday, February 22 released the details of her new work where she acted a lead role jostling for gubernatorial seat in the upcoming movie titled, ‘4th Republic’.
The trailer of the actress movie surfaced online on the eve of the much anticipated Presidential and National Assembly elections last Saturday. The film is co-produced by Groit Studios Limited and Amateur Heads Production, has Bem Fever Ishaya Bako, Kemi Lala Akindoju and Ummi Yakubu serving as producers.
It was gathered that the film is funded by grants from the John D and Catherine T. Mac Arthur Foundation and the Open society initiatives for West Africa (OSIWA). Henshaw who acted the role of a Mable King Challenges the victory of the incumbent, Idris Sani. Sani Mu’azu for her mandate after her campaign manager dies.
She is supported by her aids, Ike (Eyinna Nwigwe) and Sikiru’s daughter Bukky (Linda Ejiofor) while Sani’s associate, St James (Bimbo Manuel) and his law school rival, Danladi (Yakubu Mohammed) try to take down witnesses.
Commenting on the new movie, Kate Henshaw said: “4th Republic is not just a film right for the election period, I think what is most significant is the message it carries, we need to stand up for the truth and fight for justice, it is our duty.”
