Cleric Advises Parents To Encourage Children In Sports

Parents have been advised to encourage their children and wards to develop interest in spots as it helped the body mentally alert and physically fit.
A cleric and proprietor it friendly Educational Resources Port Harcourt, Rev Wanoemi Kienworio made the assertion during the maiden Annual Inter-House Sports completion of the School held at No. 1 field, Port Harcourt Township over the weekend.
Rev. Kienworio said the sole aim of every school is to harvest young talents through proper streaming and sports, pointing out that the school had made a great impact academically, morally and now in sports.
The man of God said they have been able to expose the kids positively by educating them as their parents put them under their care, and promised that they would try their possible best to bring out the God deposited talent from each and every child with the special grace of God.
According to him, they are to celebrate the inter-house sports with joy as it is the maiden education, adding that exercise is energy.
He specially appealed to parents to understand that if a child is not participation in sports, he or she is gifted in another area and expressed delight will all that made the occasion a huge success.
The Proprietor of Friendly Educational Resources (FER), Re Kienworio later in a chat expressed worry that most people have not been showing interest in sports hence the death of sporting activities in the state and appealed for its resustenance the State and appealed for its resustenance.
Rev Kienworio said people should put more life in sports as was of old and create awareness, so that sports would develop in the state.
On the performances of the athletes at the inter-House sports, he expressed optimism that burden talents in the school if well harnessed or groomed would made the state proud by winning laurels in national and international competitions, calling on the government to also give all sports priority attention so as to encourage the talents discover through such activities.
He also expressed gratitude to the parents, well-wishers and friends for their encouragement and appealed for their assistance in any way to caution the challenges facing the school.
Out of five houses that took part in the inter-house sports, Glorious Yellow House came tops.
