… Plans Scholarship For Constituents
Social Democratic Party (PDP) House of Assembly candidate for Opobo/Nkoro State Constituency. Danderson Peterside says manpower development in the educational and health sectors would be his priority if he wins the seat.
In a chat with The Tide, Peterside “says he would focus on producing quality education for the people of the constituency through scholarships”.
“Our children need quality education” Peterside said “in the local government area we have lost the old standard we used to have but we need to revive it because we don’t have any other trade we do than going to school”.
The House of Assembly candidate also said that once he is voted to represent the constituency, he would float a special scheme that will go round the communities to identify area of needs.
According to him, a special monitoring team would be set up to monitor school enrolment and service delivery by health workers in the local government area.
The SDP Assembly candidate averred that monitoring of schools and health centres would effectively engender discipline and commitment of staff in delivering the services they are paid for.
In addition, he assured of providing incentives to teachers and health workers in the area to further motivate them at work.
