ONELGA, Okirika Shut Down For Wike …As Gov Tasks Nigerians To Sack Blame-Trading Buhari’s Govt …Campaign Train Storms Akuku-Toru, Today

As the state Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) intensifies its campaign across the state, the people of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area and Okrika Local Government Area came out in their thousands to welcome the governor and his entourage to their area.
The governor, Chief Nyesom Wike led the PDP campaign train that stormed ONELGA last Wednesday and Okrika yesterday respectively.
Speaking at the rally in Omoku, Chief Wike urged Nigerians to sack the President Buhari-led Federal Government over failure to transform Nigeria and foisting economic hardship on the people.
Wike said that ability to perform should be the underlying factor for the electorate to vote any candidate.
He said that APC presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari has done nothing to merit a second term.
He spoke in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area (ONELGA) during the PDP campaign rally in Omoku, last Wednesday.
Wike said: “President Muhammadu Buhari does not deserve a second term. He has not shown capacity in any form. Therefore, Nigerians should vote him out on February 16.
“Since 2015, instead of performing, the APC-led Federal Government has focused their time on trading blames. These blame traders have no understanding of the principles of development, economic growth and employment generation”.
The governor noted that the failure of the APC-led Federal Government was deepened by the fact that President Muhammadu Buhari refused to listen to ideas on how to develop the country.
“If we want to develop Nigeria, we must elect a President that will listen to the people. We must vote for Atiku Abubakar to kick-start the development process”, he said.
In Rivers State, Wike urged the people of ONELGA to vote for him for more projects in the area, and listed key projects executed by his administration in the area.
Wike took out time to canvass for votes for all PDP candidates contesting elections for different positions in the area.
He reiterated his call on leaders at the polling units to ensure that PDP wins in all their units.
The Rivers State PDP Chairman, Bro Felix Obuah presented the Rivers West Senatorial District PDP Candidate, Hon Betty Apiafi, PDP Candidate for Ahoada West/ONELGA Federal Constituency, Prince Uche Nnam-Obi, PDP Candidate for ONELGA State Constituency 1, Hon Christian Ahiakwo and PDP Candidate for ONELGA State Constituency 2, Hon Nathaniel Uwaji to the people.
Obuah said there was no other party in the area; hence PDP would get 100 per cent of the votes during the 2019 General Elections.
He declared that ONELGA people would overwhelmingly vote for all PDP candidates, and stated that ONELGA people were happy with Wike for the numerous projects in the area.
The PDP Candidate for Ahoada West/ONELGA Federal Constituency, Prince Uche Nnam-Obi said the governor has empowered ONELGA people and would be re-elected.
He said the dictator must go for working against the principles of democracy, and urged the people to vote for PDP from top to bottom.
Similarly, the PDP Candidate for ONELGA State Constituency 2, Nathaniel Uwaji thanked the people for their support for the PDP.
Also speaking, Chairman of Ogba/Egbema /Ndoni Local Government Area (ONELGA), Victor Ifeanyi Odili assured that all the stakeholders would work all through the length and breadth of the area, and promised that they would repeat the 2015 support for Wike in 2019.
Rivers State Commissioner for Power, Mr Shedrack Chukwu said the campaign team in the area has been primed for success in all the forthcoming elections.
A PDP Elder, Dr Sunny Ajie said that the PDP was one family which would deliver all PDP candidates during the 2019 General Elections.
The Campaign Director of Logistics, Sir Elemchukwu Ogbowu said the state Chairman of the party, Bro Felix Obuah has galvanised ONELGA people for the victory of the PDP, and assured that the governor of the people’s support.
In his remarks, Prof Ngozi Odu said ONELGA will stand with Wike as a pillar of support and votes.
The ONELGA Traditional Rulers Council conferred on Wike a significant chieftaincy title: “The Ebirigwogwo of Orashi Kingdom”.
They said that he was the hurricane who would continue to cleanse the land.
Meanwhile the state Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) campaign train will berth in Akuku-Toru Local Government Area today as part of its rallies across the state.
The campaign will be lead by the state Governor Chief Nyesom Wike according to a statement made available to The Tide by the state PDP campaign Council’s Director of Information and Communications, Barrister Emma Okah.
Okah described Akuku-Toru as the stronghold of the governor and the PDP as over 10 projects have been executed and completed by the present administration since 2015.
Among the key projects sited in the area by the Wike administration include: the Renovation and expansion of General Hospital, Abonnema, Nyemorn Grammar School renovation, construction of Abonnema/Obonoma bridge and road, award of Kula land reclamation.
Others are rehabilitation of Bishop Crowther Memorial School Abonnema, award of land reclamation and schools renovation across the local government area.
Calling on the people of the area to turn out en masse Okah expressed confidence that the governor and his entourage will get a befitting welcome in the area.
