Adesua Defends Husband Over N57m Campaign Fund

Nollywood actress, Adesua Etoni-Wellington has denied reports that her husband, singer-cum politician, Bankole Wellington popularly known as Banky W allegedly collected the some of N57 million from the President Muhammadu Buhari campaign team.
In the early hours of Tuesday, a woman identified as Miriam Shehu on twitter called out singer Banky W for allegedly receiving N57 million from President Buhari. She said the payment was reportedly meant for a campaign for President Buhari and was received by the singer whom she claimed didn’t execute the project.
Reacting on twitter, Banky W described the allegation as false and threatened to sue the woman. Adesua who was also accused alongside her husband also denied the allegation.
According to her, they were in Abuja in December for an event with EU and did not switch contract as claimed by Miriam Shehu.
Her tweet reads: “My husband has never collected a dime to support Buhari, there is nothing to substantiate what you have written and I am racking my brain about why you would write this. I am saddened too, more because it is a huge lie, but life has taught me that time reveals all things”.
