TY Danjuma Polo Tournament: Beverly Hills Hotel Team Desires To Win

The captain of the Beverly Hills Hotel Polo Club,Alex Amdint has expressed her team’s desire to win this year’s edition of the TY Danjuma Polo Tournament holding at the Port Harcourt Polo Club, GRA, Rivers State.
  Alex stated this in an exclusive interview with Tidesports shortly after her team defeated De Edge Hotel Polo Club 8-2 in their first game in the competition.
    She said that the expectation of her team prior to the commencement of the tournament is being crowned champions at the end.
   “Well, it is just day 2 of the competition,Polo is all about strategy and I am fortunate enough to have a good team. We listened to ourselves in between each chucker and with each chucker, we improved in the game.”
  “Going forward, I expect my team to win the tournament’’, she said.
  Furthermore, Alex appreciated the efforts of the organisers of the competition and also the good attendance from other affiliate teams from all over the country and some other players coming from other countries.
 Also speaking, the captain of De Edge Hotel Polo Club, Michael Ajayi, appreciated the efforts of his team.
 “It is very unfortunate that we lost the match and we hope to play much better in the next game, we were out played today and we made few mistakes” he stated.
 He also stressed the need for his team to prepare more for their next game, while also stating that they will be better performance from them.
   The Captain called on fans of the sport to come in their numbers to watch them play.
  “The Organisation of the tournament has been very wonderful, they have used very little resources to achieve much” Ajayi said.
   This year’s edition of the TY Danjuma Polo Tournament runs from the 14th – 21st  of January, 2019.
