Stakeholders Laud Wike For Unity, Progress In Ogoni
Political stakeholders in Tai Local Government Area in Rivers State have commended Governor Nyesom Wike for uniting stakeholders and politicians for progress in Ogoni including Tai LGA.
The stakeholders in different interviews with The Tide at the PDP flag-off campaign rally in Kpite Community in Tai Local Government Area of the state said the unity among the key political office holders and chieftains of various political parties had reduced tension in the forthcoming elections Ogoni area.
The Commissioner for Special Duties, Dr. John Bazia said Tai is one local government areas that would have peaceful general elections in the area.
He said Tai LGA did not have any opposition parties to contest with Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the area.
According to him, Tai is purely for PDP and the reason was that Governor Wike has united all the key politicians who supposed to make elections cumbersome in the area.
The Commissioner said the like of Barry Mpigi and other key politicians who were in other political parties before are now in PDP and that other political parties including APC can not pose threat to the victory of PDP in the area.
Bazia said PDP wouldwin in the area with 100 percent margin, saying that elections in Tai do not need much campaign from PDP to win in the area.
Also speaking, the Special Adviser to the Governor, Hon. Sylvester A. Ngbor said Tai would give bloc votes for PDP come the election.
He said, though the major opposition party (APC) had lost out of contest in Rivers State, but even with APC, the Peoples Democratic Party will still win in Tai LGA and all Ogoni areas.
According to him, Governor Wike has shown that he loves the People of Tai and Ogoni in general in his developmental agenda, maintaining that Tai people will reciprocate the gesture in the coming elections.
