Paramount Ruler Endorses Wike’s Second Term Bid

The Eze Igbu Akoh II of Akoh Kingdom in Ahoada East Local Government of Rivers State, Eze Cassidy Ikegbidi says Governor Nyesom Wike is the candidate the people of Akoh Kingdom will vote for in the 2019 general election.
Ikegbidi who made the decision known at his one year coronation anniversary at Ihugbogo, said the firm support of the people of the kingdom was sequel to the governor’s developmental strides across the local government area.
He said his domain has enjoyed the support of Wike’s administration since his coronation as the king of the kingdom in the state.
Ikegbidi hinted that Wike has initiated many projects and programmes including undergraduate scholarship programme for indigenes of the 14 communities in the kingdom.
He said that the scheme was successful through the support of Wike and the five percent allocation to traditional rulers in the area.
The monarch promised to spread projects and programmes including educational opportunities across the 14 communities, urging the people to support Wike’s re-election bid to ensure more development in the area.
He advised youths in the area to toe the line of peace imitated by the governor, especially during the forthcoming elections in the area.
Ikegbidi said his resign will continue to join forces with the state government and security agencies to rid the area of criminal activities.
He advised parents guardians to dissuade their children and wards from cultism and criminal activities in the area.
Also speaking, the Chairman of the Akoh Council of Traditional Ruler, Chief Justice Moses said the council will continue to support Ikegbidi to attract development from both government and companies to the area. Moses appealed to the aggrieved members of the council over the king’s coronation a year ago to sheathe their swords and join hands with him to move the kingdom forward. The traditional ruler said that the council is ready to accommodate the aggrieved chiefs for peace and stability to reign in the kingdom.
Moses also commended the governor of the state, Chief Nyesom Wike for the support and developmental strides in the kingdom.
