Legislator Drums Support For Wike
Lawmaker representing Opobo/ Nkoro State Constituency, Hon Adonye Diri has implored his constituents to support Chief Nyesom Wike’s second term bid.
In an interview with newsmen recently, Diri said Wike deserves a second term due to some of the developmental projects executed in the area.
Some of the projects he enumerated include the Andoni/ Opobo Unity Road completion, Opobo General Hospital renovation, renovation of the Comprehensive Secondary School, among others.
Diri stated that the government of Wike has equally appointed prominent sons and daughters of Opobo and Nkoro into key positions making them strong stakeholders in the administration.
Listing some of his achievements these past three years and half as lawmaker, Diri submitted that he has over the years built three markets, empowered women and men and conducted skill acquisition for youths in the area.
Currently, he disclosed that he is working towards constructing a befitting motorpark as vehicles now get to Opobo main town through the unity road.
He promised to execute more projects if voted for a second term, as he blamed the protracted electoral tribunal that consumed a huge part of his tenure.
Diri recalled that most part of his tenure was used to settle the legal tussle that arose from the 2015 elections.
He however commended the Opobo/Nkoro for being steadfast and committed to his victory at the polls.
