Kidnapped Delta Monarch, One Other Regain Freedom
The Onu of Ebu Kingdom in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State, HRM. Paul Odilila Opili who was kidnapped by gunmen last week, has regained his freedom.
The Tide reports that the monarch and other victims regained their freedom yesterday.
It is not clear if any ransom was paid before their abductors released them.
At the moment, the monarch and the others are currently receiving medical treatment at an undisclosed hospital in Asaba.
When contacted, the Delta State Acting Police Public Relations Officer, DSP, Andrew Aniamaka, in a text message, confirmed the report.
DSP Aniamaka said, “Yes, the monarch has regained his freedom.
“Every effort is now geared towards apprehending the hoodlums and their collaborators.
“We are, however, calling for any useful information from the public towards the realization of this objective.”
