Cricket: Senior Female Team Begins Camping

The cricket senior national female team has gone into camping in preparation for an invitational series against Rwanda.
President of the Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) Yahaya Ukwenya, said this in an interview with newsmen in Abuja.
Tide sports source reports that the Rwandese side is expected in Abuja on Jan. 23 with the tournament billed for January 25 to February 2.
Ukwenya said that the 24 players to be called to camp in Kaduna, ahead of the event, were drawn from the 19th National Sports Festival (NSF).
“We will be inviting 24 players to Kaduna where the team will spend 10 days before returning to Abuja.
“Thereafter, the number will be reduced to 14 cricketers for the event,’’ he said.
Ukwenya said the invitational series, which would consist of a two One Day International (ODI) and a three Twenty Overs match, would be at the National Stadium, Abuja.
Meanwhile, the stadium is, still undergoing construction.
