The crisis rocking All Progressives Congress (APC) has continued to linger as hearing one of the appeals filed by the party challenging the jurisdiction of Justice Chiwendu Nworgu’s court to hear the matter suffered another setback.
The Appeal Court could not hear the matter because it was before the Supreme Court.
When the matter Magnus Abe-led faction of the APC, Henry Bello, informed the court that the matter arising from the suit was pending before the supreme court.
According to him, the supreme court has heard the matter and has reserved rulings to January 21, 2019. Bello urged the court to adjourn sine die to await the outcome of the ruling scheduled for 21st of January, 2019.
Speaking with newsmen outside the court, the Appellant’s Counsel, Joshua Olatoke, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, noted the adjournment was in order.
It would be recalled that a special panel up to hear the matter had also on the 19th of November last year adjourned sine die following the issue of legal representation before the supreme court on a different suit on the same issue.
