Abe Extols Virtures Of Late Eleme Monarch
The Senator representing Rivers South-East Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Magnus Ngei Abe, has extolled the qualities of late King Emere Samuel Oluka Ejire, Onne eh of Eleme Kingdom, describing him as a forthright, disciplined, just and humanitarian leader.
In a statement signed and made available to The Tide by his Spokesperson, Parry Saroh Benson, yesterday, Abe said the late monarch was somebody to look up to at any time.
According to Abe, “I remember when I served as Commissioner for Information, I consulted him several times when there were issues and before you knew it, exactly what we had said was how the issue would be resolved.
“He has survived several difficult situations but because people trusted him and saw him as a just man, no matter what the challenges were, people will still run to him because they knew he would be just and fair.
“It is not easy when you lose a father and patriarch. But I believe that the time he left is the time God has called him. The natural order is that fathers are buried by their sons after they have contributed to life and attained a ripe old age.”
