2019: Cleric Urges Prayers For N’ Delta States
With less than a month to the 2019 general elections in the country, a cleric, Pastor Obihiele John has called for intense prayers to avert possible break down of law and order during the elections, especially in Niger Delta states.
Pastor John, who is the lead pastor of New Tiding Glorious Church, Iwofe, Port Harcourt told newsmen that serious prayers are needed to avert crisis during the elections, particularly in some states of the Niger Delta.
Pastor John who recently predicted the emergence of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said that the Nigerian nation needs serious prayers.
“A serious prayers should be made for Nigeria especially Rivers State and some Niger Delta states to avert crisis,” he said.
The cleric also alleged of plot to subvert the will of the people in Rivers State, stressing that the situation if not checked may lead to bloodshed and anarchy.
According to him, with prayers, God will intervene and disappoint those plotting not only to subvert the will of the people but cause violence.
He however stressed the need for those in positions of authority to ensure that the will of the people is respected during the elections as failure to do this will incur the wrath of God.
The cleric also advised the youths to refrain from involving in violence.
