Paramount ruler of Ozochi Community in Ahoada East LGA Local Government Area of Rivers State Chief Prince Ike Ehie has said that his administration as the new paramount ruler (Eze Nwu Ula) would attract human capital and infrastructural development in the land.
Chief Ehie made the assertion Thursday at his community in an exclusive interview with The Tide.
The elegant traditional ruler who won his election by popular vote expressed gratitude to the people of the coastal community for the confidence which they reposed on him, charging them to continue to be law abiding. He promised his people that his administration would be all “inclusive” to enable him pull out the community from its infrastructural underdevelopment.
Ehie who was recently installed the Eze Nwu-Ula Ula of the community lamented the neglect of the federal government in citing projects in his community even as government is tapping their natural resources.
“Regrettably, inspite of the rich oil and gas endowment, Ozochi island community has been backward in terms of infrastructural development, no hospital, electricity, pipe borne water and tarred road to link our industrious people to civilisation. These and other challenges will be cardinal to this administration”, Chief Ehie said.
