Families Of Immigration Boss Escape Lynching
Families of Comptroller- General of the Nigerian Immigration Services, CG Baban Dande Hadejia, have escaped lynching in the hands of armed bandits who attacked them on their way to Hadejia from Kano via Gujungu-Yalo road in Taura Local Government Area in Jigawa State.
Commenting over the issue, the spokesman of the Jigawa Command of the NSCDC, Mal. Adamu Shehu, stated the unfortunate incidence occurred yesternight along Gujungu -Yalo Hadejia road in Jigawa State.
According to him, two of the bandits were in military uniform suspected to be soldiers but armed robbers.
One amongst the bandits was later arrested by our combined detectives, while the remaining four took to their heels, assuring they will do their best to arrest them, said the NSCDC spokesman.
Investigations by the officers of the Jigawa NSCDC Command has revealed that the suspected robbers have robbed several people including business men and the families of Immigration boss valuable items such as hand sets and money running into several thousand naira.
The arrested suspects named, Isyaku Ali aged forty, a native of Chaichai village in Ringim Council of Jigawa State, in his confessional statement to NSCDC debunked that they were in possession of firearms during their robbery.
