Institute To Tackle Environmental Problems With Entrepreneurship Skills

The Institute of Strategic Management ( ISM), has said that it would use its leadership and entrepreneurship skills to tackle environmental issues in Rivers State.
The Rivers State Chapter Chairman of the group, Mr Anthony Agbakwuru said this while fielding questions from newsmen in Port- Harcourt last Saturday.
Agbakwuru, who said that the event was bidded on November 29, 2018, in Port-Harcourt ,added that this year’s edition of the programme, would be centred on leadership and good governance.
He hinted that the decision was reached in its General Meeting with Rivers State as its target, and said that the association was prepared to fight all sorts of environmental challenges in the State.
One of the ways to go about it he said, was to explore what he tagged as strategic solutions in order to achieve the desired goal.
According to him, the group had been into innovation and entrepreneurship over a decade, thus its conviction on providing positive solution to environmental issues.
Other of its targets he said, was to rank among the World best and also a Pan- African best in Strategic Management, as well as a key player in positioning Nigeria in leadership rank in the global economy.
The ISM boss, further hinted that its goals would also be actualized through research work, publication, education, training and certification of trained members.
He was of the view that since its organization uses Strategic Management as a working tool, that its performance would be higher , adding that it would aid it in achieving faster results.
The Strategist, who went memory lane, said that internal and external variables would also be considered so as to enable it beat its other targets that have link with long-term plans and goals.
On the issue of certification, he said that it would be for approved members of the group or individuals who have made names in both the private and public sectors.
Meanwhile, he has called on the general public to think on professionalism, adding that it was the best way to handle both economic and environmental challenges.
