A presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Aminu Tambuwal, has met leaders of the South-West geo-political zone, where he blasted President Muhammadu Buhari-led All Progressives Congress for poor performance in delivering democracy dividends.
The Sokoto State governor told PDP supporters and delegates at the Osun State secretariat, Wednesday evening, that there is the urgent need to provide a credible alternative that will oust the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government.
He declared that President Muhammadu Buhari, “has failed in all ramifications.”
Tambuwal said Nigeria is at crossroads and needs leaders that can bring the people together, reunite and secure them.
His words: “We know how PDP left the economy of this country and we know what is happening today. Don’t mind what they are telling you. The economy is not doing well.
“The fight against corruption is selective and indeed there are no jobs for our people. So, have they not failed on their promises to our people?”
“I assure you that this ticket by all standards and by all measures is not going to be compared to that of Muhammadu Buhari.
“We have understanding of the dynamics of the Nigerian state, there is no part of this country that I have not been to. We shall promote national unity and harmony. I have a very good understanding of what it takes to provide leadership in Nigeria”.
